What is Facebook Poke? What does it mean? How to use it?
One of my friends asked me about it. I knew this feature existed on Facebook and also knew it was a useless feature.
But then people still use it so I thought sharing this with you all!
- A “poke” is basically someone trying to get your attention
It’s one of the meaningless features that are used just to annoy someone.
- If you poke someone not in your network and they poke back. You can view their profile even if your not their friend!
- A poke is when you allow someone to see your facebook page for 3 days, so they can know who you are and hopefully add you as a friend.
Apart from that wiki has this additional info about Facebook Poke!
The poke feature is intended to be a “nudge” to attract the attention of another user. Many facebook users use this feature to attract attention or say “hello” to their friends. It can also be interpreted as flirting. A previous version of Facebook’s FAQ gave additional insight into the origin of the feature, stating: “When we created the poke, we thought it would be cool to have a feature without any specific purpose. People interpret the poke in many different ways, and we encourage you to come up with your own meanings.”
Have you ever used Facebook Poke Feature ever??
