Have you heard of the Reverse Image Search Engine called as Tineye? Well it’s one of the best out there and you got to try it out today!
Unlike other Image search engines Tineye can be used to search similar images with another image. Confused? Well you don’t have to be. With Tineye you can search images with an image instead of text like you do it on Google Image Search.
If you check out the homepage of Tineye.com you will find two options to do a reverse image search. You can upload an image that you have in your computer or you can just enter the URL of the image location on the web.
Upload the image or click on the search box after you have entered the image URL then you will be able to get the image search results in the next screen.
On the image result page you will see something like: Searched over 1.9532 billion images in 2.458 seconds for file: Me.jpg
You can also sort out the image results by Best Match, Most Changed, Biggest Image and you can do a compare image with the image match. You will see a number of links where the image that you uploaded matches with some similar images on the web.
All of the results will be deleted within 72 hours for privacy and security reasons. You can upload stuffs in these image formats JPEG, GIF, PNG and the maximum image upload size is 1 MB.
There is also a Firefox Add-on and a Chrome Extension to accomplish the task of reverse image search from your browser.
