If you have been blogging for a short time now then it is for sure that you know what Digg is. There is also good chance that you might have used it already.
I will try to explain why Digg can be useful for Bloggers like you. The effect it can have on your blog and of course the free traffic that you will receive.
- Digg.com is the most famous Social Bookmarking site in the world. It is free and it is very easy to use.
- With a Google Pagerank of 8 and an Alexa rank of 100 it is the best platform to share your blog articles with the rest of the world.
- Though the Pagerank popularity is not carried over by any means through digg, there are all possibilities that your blog’s link will appear good in the eyes of Google.
- It is simply better to have your blog link posted on Digg than not to have it. You can easily gain advantage over your competitor’s blog.
- It just takes less than 2 minutes to share your link on Digg. It is an automated process where it auto fills the title and the body content from your suggested link.
- However do not post every blog post of yours on Digg, it is not recommended to share many links from 1 particular URL the same day either.
- Optimize your blog posts according to the needs of Digg visitors. People who browse Digg usually like flash news, very rare to find, extremely important news.
- As much as you share and expect other people to digg yours make sure that you do it as well. Make friends and comment actively to make your presence felt.
- Some of these tips are useful on any other social bookmarking site as well, if you participate. Do not forget to ask your friends to submit your link and digg it as well.
