Textem.net is a free website to send text messages online right from your PC to mobile phones in US. You can also send and receive text with textem.net and it also has an option to send pictures to mobiles.

With Textem you can easily send free sms to majority of the United States cellular services without using your mobile phone. If you and your friends or family are registered users of Textem you can also send and receive pictures for free. Although the present list of supported carriers is limited we hope that they extend the list very soon.

If you are registered and logged into Textem.net then you can send and receive back and forth the messages with anyone in US. You can also save phone numbers and build address book, so that you can conveniently send text messages online.

But signing up on Textem is purely optional you can use the free sms service and save money on your messages.


Using the Textem.net is very easy, I’ll try to guide you through this simple process here:

  • Go to http://www.textem.net/

  • Enter the mobile number that you want to send the text to

  • You can also enter your email address but it is optional.

  • Now you need to select the mobile carrier from the list presented on the site

  • Enter the text message (155 characters) that you want to send to your friend.

  • Enter the captcha (text in the image) to pass the security barrier

  • Select “I Agree” if you do with their Terms of Use.
