ImageShack is a free image hosting site where you can also upload videos. It was created in November 2003 by Alexander Levin.
ImageShack is one of the most popular websites that is used to store personal images and videos by people from all over the world. It is very easy to use and a convenient method to share your photos immediately with anyone on the internet.
When you enter the homepage of ImageShack you will see a box to upload images. By default the option is selected as images/videos but you can also select the URL option if you want to upload an image which is already there on a website. You do not have to register for an account with ImageShack but you can insert your email id to instantly get an account.
The upload limit of images on ImageShack is 5mb per file. The upload limit for videos is based on time limit which is 15 minutes.

Also check out: TinyPic.com and PhotoBucket, the 2 popular ImageShack competitors for image hosting.
In order to delete images from ImageShack you need to register for a free account and upload pictures and videos. There is also a tool called as ImageShack Uploader which you can use it to upload bulk images in a single attempt.
There is a way to resize the image or the video that you upload to ImageShack. There are plenty of options such as resizing the image to be displayed for a 15 inch monitor, 17 inch monitor, 19 inch monitor, 21 inch monitor. It also has options to resize the image into an avatar (profile pictures in community and forums), thumbnails, for websites and forums. If you do not wish to resize the image then there is an option for that as well.
Info: Yfrog is a dedicated service to upload images and videos directly to Twitter by ImageShack.
The service provided by ImageShack for a free user and registered user slightly varies. If an image which is uploaded on ImageShack is not viewed by anyone for more than a year will be deleted. Also if an image consumes more than 200mb of bandwidth in one hour then it would be temporarily unavailable. If you need a higher upload limit for videos and images then you can sign up for their paid service.
If you have been on the internet for sometime then there is a good chance that you would have seen the infamous yellow frog of ImageShack. If you have ever used it or going to use it then do share your views on this image hosting site.

Hey, this is Kamal and I run the NPXP network of websites. I am a blogger and also do other online stuffs.
I am a huge fan and user of Image Shack. For my website and photo uploading needs, this is my go-to site. Very easy to use and very reliable.
You can also try Flickr, and there are other image hosting sites.
I have always been on Photobucket but I’ve noticed that a lot of other users are on Imageshack. Maybe it really is time to switch picture/video hosts! Does Imageshack have a paid option?
