You might already know that “Nofollow blogs” do not carry Pagerank (PR) values to other blogs through blog commenting.
If you run a blog then your blog readers are your assets. You should reward them in a way that they are grateful to you and they would want to comment again and again on your blog.
The best possible way to encourage your blog readers to comment on your blog is by making your blog Dofollow. If you are on WordPress then you might know that by default WordPress comment box is Nofollow. This was an original concept to prevent spam comments on your blog.

I just have installed the Plugin “Dofollow” by Denis de Bernardy but still i can see the blog is still “NoFollow” any idea please?
Thanks for the nice post, Kamal. I have just now made my blog a dofollow blog using the plugin you mentioned. The doubt I have is that your blog although being dofollow still shows rel=’external nofollow’ tag in comments. Why is it so?
Hi Kavita, It’s because a commentator will start getting dofollow link after commenting for 5 times at least on any posts here on NPXP. It’s a move to avoid attracting spam comments.
