If you have logged in the last couple of days on Facebook then you must have noticed the New Facebook Photo Viewer.
Facebook has upgraded it for a better user experience, I suppose. We’ll tell you how you can disable it!

Well whatever the case is, as always some people did not like it much. I am no exception to this as well! The reason is pretty simple:
The old Facebook photo viewer was great and we had no complaints about it. The new one seems to be not so user-friendly, what I mean to say is it’s just not that great! You can try it by logging onto your Facebook account and view any of your photos. The dark background with the Lightbox effect is unattractive and the pop-up kind of a thing is not likable at all. I guess my opinion need not be same as yours but I did not like it much, that’s all..

So anyways if you are like me and want to get the Old Facebook Photo Viewer back all you have to do is press the F5 key on your keyboard. It will refresh the page and you will get back the Old photo viewer on your screen. There isn’t any permanent fix for this, so you would have to do that for every instance when you want to see a photo in a particular album or status updates.

yeah this new look of photo viewer is really not so user friendly thanks for sharing the disabling steps.
I recently viewed my Facebook account and checked my notifications. One of my friend tagged me on the photos taken last week during our conference. As soon as I opened it, I really thought something is wrong with my account or my internet connection. But I found out that a lot of my friends experienced the same thing. Thanks for sharing how to disable it.
there is any permanent fixes for this? even facebook stucks while using new viewer…
