Twitter, a microblogging websites is growing at a very fast pace. It is more or less the next Facebook. So are you ready to explore the world of Twitter with NPXP?
Follow this methods to use Twitter effectively and make the best use of it for your blog:
- Create a new account with a good handle i.e. http://twitter.com/YourWebsiteName If it doesn’t exist do what I have done for NPXP: http://twitter.com/npxpcom
- Introduce your website or yourself in the first few tweets.
- Follow relevant Twitter users who own blogs similar to what you do.
- You can use direct messages i.e. d username when you want to tweet someone directly. (Ex: d npxpcom)
- Share your Blog articles links with the Twitter followers that you have.
- Do not just share links from your blog but also post something what you have on your mind. (Check my Twitter)
- Do not follow people for the heck of it. Only follow the people whom you think can be beneficial to you and your blog.
- There is no rule that you have to follow the person who follows you. This can make Twitter a better place.
- Make blog announcements such as contests to pull in crowd to your blog.
- Do Not Spam Twitter, please.
If you follow these basic Twitter tips then you will benefit from this useful social networking service err a microblogging service effectively.

I always interchange the direct message and personalized message i.e.
@username, d username
